Casters installed, more stain, more finish coats on shelves. Work started on back and the tower door. The tower door will have an oval inlay on the front with beaded trim. This work is being done by my friend DJ Colvin.

Strip, stain and more stain. UPS delivery of new mahogany wood.

October 24, 2000

More work on the top. I decided to use millwork from a 1906 Willard piano that was sitting on my carport to finish the top of the desk. The posts are from the side trim on the front and the shelves and dividers are from the front and bottom of the piano. The paint cans will be removed and the shelf on the right will be lowered.

New Top. Stain Test.  A really hard match. Does the lid close?  Checking for square.
