Common Major Arpeggios

 To build a major arpeggio, take the 8 notes of the major scale and find the root (tonic, 1st note), 3^rd and 5^th of that scale.  Memorize these before building more complicated chords.  To make an arpeggio minor, lower the 3rd by a half step.
